Looking After The House

A guy goes on holiday and leaves a young local lad looking after his cat and house.

The guy calls on the first day and asks, “How’s the cat?”

The young lad says, “Fine, yeah.”

The second day, it’s the same thing. “How’s the cat?”

The young lad says, “It’s dead. Got splattered by a car.”

“Oh my God, you could have broken it a bit more gently. You could have said the cat had been sunbathing on the shed roof and fell off. The first day, you could have said it was getting a little better, then told me it passed away peacefully.”

On the fourth day, the guy calls as normal and asks how things are.

“Everything’s fine here, yeah. Oh, actually, wait a minute. There was one thing. What was it again?”

“Oh yeah, that’s it. Your mum’s been sunbathing on the shed roof.”

I don’t like to toot my own horn, but there was no avoiding it when the late-shift crew at the Johannesburg Taco Bell shoved my vuvuzela up my drunk ass.
