  • The Honeymoon Question

A newly married couple were lying in bed on the first night of their honeymoon when the husband, in a moment of what he would later describe as very poor judgment, propped himself up on one elbow and said, “Sweetheart… can I ask you something personal? How many men have you been with before me?”

His wife said nothing. He waited. Still nothing. She was lying perfectly flat on her back, staring at the ceiling with a faraway expression.

“Honey?” he tried again. “I hope I didn’t offend you. I was just curious. You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.”

Not a word. He started to feel genuinely bad. “I’m sorry,” he said. “Truly. It doesn’t matter one bit. I love you completely, whatever your answer might be.”

He waited another minute. She kept staring at the ceiling. Her lips moved ever so slightly. He leaned in close. “Sweetheart? Are you all right?”

She turned to him slowly, with the look of a woman who has been very seriously interrupted, and said, “For heaven’s sake, would you please stop talking? I’m still counting.”

  • Polish Sausage at Home Depot

A customer asked, “In what aisle can I find the Polish sausage?”

The clerk asks, “Are you Polish?”

The guy, clearly offended, says, “Yes I am. But let me ask you something. If I had asked for Italian sausage, would you ask me if I was Italian?

Or if I had asked for German Bratwurst, would you ask me if I was German?

Or if I asked for a kosher hot dog, would you ask me if I was Jewish?

Or if I had asked for a taco, would you ask if I was Mexican?

Or if I asked for some Irish whiskey, would you ask if I was Irish?”

The clerk says, “No, I probably wouldn’t.”

The guy says, “Well then, because I asked for Polish sausage, why did you ask me if I’m Polish?”

The clerk replied, “Because you’re in Home Depot.”

  • Golf Balls on the Bus

A man got on the bus with both of his front pants pockets full of golf balls and sat down next to a beautiful blonde woman.

The puzzled blonde kept looking at him and his bulging pockets.

Finally, after many glances from her, he looks at her and says, “It’s golf balls.”

The blonde continued to look at him for a very long time, thinking deeply about what he had said.

Finally, unable to contain her curiosity any longer, she empathetically asks, “Does it hurt as much as tennis elbow?”

  • The Laxative Cough Remedy

A drug store owner walks in and notices a man leaning stiffly against the wall.

He asks the clerk, “What’s wrong with that guy?”

The clerk says, “He came in looking for something for a cough. We were out of cough syrup, so I gave him a bottle of laxatives.”

The owner shouts, “You idiot! You can’t treat a cough with laxatives!”

The clerk replies, “Oh yeah? Look at him… he’s afraid to cough.”

  • The Amish Family and the Elevator

An Amish husband, wife, and son travel to the city on vacation.

While the mother shops, the father and son stand in awe in front of an elevator, having no idea what it is.

As they watch, an elderly woman slowly walks into the strange silver doors. The doors close, and the father and son watch the numbers light up as the elevator rises… then pauses, and comes back down.

A moment later, the doors open and a beautiful young woman steps out.

The son stares in amazement and asks, “Dad… what just happened?”

The father leans over and whispers, “I’m not sure, son… but quick, go get your mother!”

  • The Grocery Store Con

I went to the grocery store for some bread, milk, bacon, eggs, and I ended up getting a couple things that were on sale because apparently I now get excited about discounts.

The store was packed and the self checkout lane was down to one machine. Luckily there was a spot behind this little old Asian lady with a cart piled dangerously high with groceries. We started making small talk while we waited.

Out of nowhere she smiled at me and said, “You look just like my son.”

I laughed because… I’m very obviously not Asian.

She laughed too and said, “Still, it would make me very happy if you said ‘Bye Mom’ to me when I leave.”

Honestly, she reminded me of somebody’s sweet grandma, so I figured why not. It costs me nothing to be nice.

A few minutes later she finished paying, waved at me, and started heading toward the door.

So I smiled and called out, “Bye Mom!”

She turned around grinning and yelled back, “Bye son!”

A couple people in the line beside us smiled. One cashier even said, “Aww.”

    Then it was my turn.

The cashier started scanning my stuff. Bread. Milk. Bacon. Eggs. A frozen pizza I absolutely did not need. Total seemed to be climbing pretty fast, but groceries are expensive now so I didn’t think much of it.

Finally the cashier looked at me and said, “Okay, your total is $487.63.”

I nearly had a heart attack.

    I said, “WHAT? For this?”

The cashier looked confused and said, “Well… your mother said you’d be paying for her groceries too.”

This guy with a lisp goes to buy a horse.

He asks the farmer, “Can I thee her walk?”

The farmer says, “Sure.” And he pats the horse’s rear to make it walk.

Then the guy asks, “Can I thee her wun?”

The farmer says, “Sure.” And he slaps the horse’s rear to make it run.

Then the guy asks, “Can I thee her twot?”

The farmer says, “Um, sure?” And he lifts the horse’s tail.

  • The Juggler’s DUI Test

A juggler is driving to his next performance when he gets pulled over by the police.

The officer spots some matches and lighter fluid in the car and asks, “What’s all this for?”

“I’m a juggler,” the man says. “I juggle flaming torches in my act.”

The cop looks skeptical. “Oh yeah? Let’s see it.”

So the juggler gets out of the car and starts expertly juggling flaming torches on the side of the road.

The cop stands by, watching intently.

Meanwhile, a passing couple slows down to watch.

“Wow,” says the driver to his wife. “I’m so glad I quit drinking. Look at the test they’re giving now!”
